Today we were called to assist a driver who had a broken Mercedes Sprinter key.
It’s a common fault with older Sprinter and Vito vans that the key breaks in two.
This is because the key blade does not have any ribs along it’s profile to give in torsional strength
and repeated use causes the key to break.
We went to the van and made a duplicate key to fit the van and also made a spare key for the driver.
